Dr. John VandenBrink
-Profile of the Dentist-
Dr. John VandenBrink holds degrees from the University of Alberta in Dentistry
(1992) and Chemical Engineering (1986). During dental school he was the recipient
of numerous clinical awards, including the award for the student most likely
to impact dentistry in the Province of Alberta. His research work during university
was published in the prestigious Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and presented
at the International Association of Dental Research conference in Glasgow.
After dental school he has remained active in continuing education, concentrating
on high tech dentistry. His thirst for knowledge has lead him to some changes
in the way that he delivers dentistry as he strives to provide only the best
possible dental treatment and alternatives to his patients.
Dr. VandenBrink started the Provost Dental Clinic after dental school and
managed a successful rural practice for 4 years, holding operating room privileges
at the local hospital before moving to Edmonton. He has been practicing dentistry
in Glenora since 1995 and completed a major renovation to accommodate for
the addition of high tech dental equipment in 1998.
Dr. John has a calm and easy chair-side manner and believes that light dry
humor makes a dental visit more comfortable. He is a good communicator and
takes time to listen and explain. He takes patient education very seriously
and likes to make sure that this patients are comfortable with all dental
procedures before he starts.
John and his wife Lynn live in Sherwood Park with their children, Mikayla
(13 years old), Colton (10 years old) and Reese (7 years old).
Anne has worked in and out of dentistry since 1964. She worked first as an assistant and then came back to dentistry as a receptionist after having four daughters. Without a doubt she is the heart and the backbone of this office as she treats all of our patients with the kind of care that makes them want to come back to the dentist. She has always been actively involved in dental health education (including a fluoride rinse program for primary school children while her own kids were in school). She and her husband both ride motorcycles in any sunny spare time they can manage. They enjoy this past time with their four daughters and son-in-laws. She is now a grandmother extrodinaire to six beautiful grand daughters, Janet (7), Sydney (5), Madeline (5), Meg (4),Sophia (2), Georgia (2) and one grand son, Samuel (4). She is BUSY!!!
